Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Tyler G. Haradon grew up in Monument, Colorado. He attended the University of Denver, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience and minoring in Chemistry and Psychology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, he underwent a rigorous three-year residency in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. There he was trained to perform the most up to date and state-of-the-art periodontal and dental implant surgical procedures. Throughout residency, he underwent a comprehensive anesthesia hospital rotation at UI Health as well, gaining certifications in advanced cardiac life support and conscious sedation. This proficiency in sedation has helped him to better provide a safe and more comfortable experience for his patients through relief of anxiety, discomfort, and/or pain.
Dr. Haradon simultaneously worked during residency to receive his Master of Science (MS) as well. He was fortunate to perform his clinical research alongside internationally renowned prosthodontist Dr. Lyndon Cooper. Drs. Cooper and Haradon will be soon publishing their latest groundbreaking clinical research on dental implant surface modifications in the upcoming months!
Additionally, Dr. Haradon acts as an implant surgical consultant for Dandy Laboratories. Due to his surgical experience as well as his knowledge in digital dentistry, he has been asked by the company to aid in implementing a fully guided implant workflow. In general, he enjoys pursuing education courses and staying up to date on the latest dental procedures and technological advancements.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
While Dr. Haradon loves his profession and caring for his patients, he also enjoys spending time with his family. This includes his wife Miranda and their two kids Clark and Marley. Having just moved back to Colorado, he can’t wait to get back on the mountains and start skiing again!
